Three kinds of blocked websites
In India a website is usually blocked in one of three ways, and the fix depends on which. Court and government orders are enforced by ISPs at DNS or IP level: Jio and Airtel return an error page. Campus and office networks use a proxy or a firewall that blocks categories, so social media and streaming die while email works. And some sites block you themselves because your IP address is Indian.
A VPN handles all three at once: your DNS and traffic leave through an encrypted tunnel to a server abroad, so the ISP block, the campus filter and the site's own geo check all see a different picture. A proxy website or a browser extension handles only the first and only in the browser.
Ways to unblock websites, ranked honestly
- VPN with a protocol the network cannot fingerprint: works on ISP blocks, campus Wi-Fi and geo checks, covers every app on the device. This is what the rest of the site is about.
- Changing DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8: opens DNS-level ISP blocks only, does nothing on a campus proxy, takes one minute and costs nothing.
- A free web proxy site: opens one page at a time in the browser, breaks logins and video, and the proxy sees everything you type.
- Tor browser: works, slow, and campus filters often block Tor itself.
- URL shorteners and cached copies: unreliable, and useless for anything interactive.
Unblock a website with a VPN in a minute
- 1Get your VLESS key in the Telegram bot: five days free, no card.
- 2Paste it into v2rayNG or Hiddify on Android, Streisand or V2Box on iPhone, Hiddify or NekoRay on a PC.
- 3Connect to United Arab Emirates or Singapore and open the site again. On a PC turn on TUN mode so every program is routed, not only the browser.
Unblock websites at school, college or work
Campus and office networks block by category, and they usually recognise and block OpenVPN and proxy websites too. Reality traffic passes because it looks like an ordinary HTTPS session. What no VPN can pass is a network that allows only a whitelist of sites; if even our What is my IP page will not load, that is what you are on.
On a school Chromebook or a managed laptop where you cannot install anything, use your phone's hotspot with the key on the phone; the laptop then rides the tunnel without any software of its own.
Is it legal to unblock websites in India
Using a VPN is legal in India. Accessing a site blocked by court order sits in a grey area that depends on what the site is: reading foreign news through a VPN is one thing, using pirated content or gambling platforms is another, and those two are the reason most blocking orders exist. We do not help with either, and we say so on every page.
What one key opens in practice
- ✓Sites and services that refuse an Indian IP address.
- ✓Social media, streaming and messaging on college, office and hostel Wi-Fi.
- ✓Apps pulled from Indian stores, on their own pages in the apps section.
- ✓Sites blocked at DNS or IP level by Jio, Airtel, Vi or BSNL.
- ✓Not: gambling, piracy, or anything on a whitelist-only network.

What we know about you: almost nothing
There is no account here. You never give us an email, a phone number or a name, so there is no profile to leak, sell or hand over. We know that a key exists and when it expires. We do not know what you open with it. Our servers are outside India, which puts us out of scope of the CERT-In directive requiring providers to store user records for five years. Providers who kept servers inside the country had to choose between complying and leaving, and most of them left. We are telling you where we stand instead of implying we are beyond every jurisdiction, which no one is.
- No registration, no email, no phone number
- No browsing history and no connection logs
- Servers outside India, so CERT-In retention does not apply
- Payment by UPI or crypto, no card details stored
- Nothing renews automatically and nothing is charged silently
FAQ
Questions people ask before the first key
How do I unblock a blocked website?
Change DNS first if the block is ISP-level; if that fails or you are on campus Wi-Fi, use a VPN with a protocol the network cannot fingerprint, then reload the site.
How do I unblock websites on Chrome?
Chrome itself does not block sites; the network does. Run the VPN client on the device, or use a phone hotspot with the key on the phone, and Chrome follows.
Is a free proxy site enough?
For reading a single page, sometimes. Logins, video and apps break, and the proxy operator sees everything you send.
How do I unblock websites at school without a VPN?
DNS change if the block is DNS-level, or a phone hotspot. Most campus filters block proxy websites and Tor, so those rarely work.
Is it legal to unblock websites in India?
Using a VPN is legal. What you open with it is your responsibility; gambling and piracy are regulated and we do not help with them.
Why does the site still not open with the VPN on?
Usually DNS: set DNS inside the client to 1.1.1.1. On a PC, check that TUN mode is on so the browser is actually routed.
