VPN setup help: fixes for the four common problems
Four problems come up again and again. Each has a short fix.
Most problems belong to one of the four groups below. If yours does not, send the Telegram bot a message and a person will take a look.
The key does not import
- Copy the full line, vless:// at the start included. A key that is cut short fails without an error.
- Avoid the manual fields. The client's clipboard import takes the whole key in one go.
- A dim screen often stops a QR from scanning. Raise the brightness, or skip the code and copy the text link.
The client says connected, but pages do not load
- Try a different location. A single node can be overloaded.
- Switch the tunnel off and back on; clients sometimes keep an old route.
- Make sure your plan is still running: past its end date the client can show a connection while nothing gets through.
Jio or Airtel feels slow
- A hundred-plus extra milliseconds comes with any European location, so on Jio or Airtel keep to Singapore or the UAE.
- If the network filters hard, ask support to put you on another port.
- Run a speed check with the VPN off first. A slow line stays slow inside a tunnel.
CapCut still says it is unavailable
- Switch the VPN on first. Then swipe CapCut away from recent apps and start it fresh.
- If it still shows the old region, clear its cache.
- Use Singapore first. It works for CapCut more often than any other location.
